The very first Khārijites under the leadership of ʿAbd Allāh bin Wahb al-Rāsibī established their breakaway, rival "Islāmic State of Nahrawān", after they had: revolted against ʿAlī and declared him a polytheist on account of the issue of ḥākimiyyah.
